Autumn is exciting - 28.08.2016

Whooaaa! Summer is almost over! But DON'T PANIC! Autumn is looking to be exciting for all of us!

This summer was filled with sweaty rehearsing/writing/recording sessions, battling through +32 without an aircon but with a very strong desire to play music. We've also played several gigs in London, as well as Bath international Music Festival and The Neon in Wales. We've won Enfield Battle of the Bands in July, performing to an amazing crowd of all ages on the grounds of a 17th century mansion just outside of London. In August we were named winners of Songwall's "Songs in the Sky" competition by the legendary Tom Hingley (Inspiral Carpets) and got a chance to perform an intimate acoustic gig at The Rotunda Penthouse in Birmingham.

Autumn is looking to be very busy, with the main focus being on the final stages of "Mechanics of Life" LP production. There is going to be one more single before the album is released. "Half of your Soul" will be out towards the end of September, accompanied by a music video! The approximate release time for the album is currently set to be in January 2017.

We will play our first autumn show at our favorite Amersham Arms in South London on the 7th of September as part of DYKNOW Showcase. 16th of September will see us playing a special set at Project B Croydon with OXJAM Festival Pre-launch party. On the 15th of October Plastic Barricades will appear at the OXJAM Festival Croydon Takeover and on the 22nd of October will play OXJAM Islington. We are also planning to tour November, covering bits of UK and hopefully doing a small European run as well. So keep your eyes peeled - we might be appearing at your city sooner than you've expected!

Meanwhile - enjoy the last days of summer and get ready for some autumn action!
